Beyond the Door – Paranormal/Sci-Fi Anthology

I was invited to participate in this Paranormal/Sci-Fi Anthology.

11 authors, all working from the common theme of the title: “Beyond the Door.” It was available for sale at Amazon from March 24, 2020 until the end of September, when it was taken down following a final print order.

My contribution was a ten thousand word sci-fi erotica piece entitled “Into Another World”, which I’ve now published separately. Note that most stories in this anthology are not erotica.

College student Ted Jackson is walking home from a frat party, when he encounters a strange phenomenon in the park between campus and his rental house. When he unlocks the front door and finds that none of the furniture is the same and there are two women making love in his bedroom, he soon learns he has walked… Into Another World.

Paperback edition: While no longer available for sale at Amazon, there might still be paperback copies available for sale by some of the authors, who purchased their copies before this was taken down by Amazon. Back to the Work World

I’ll be returning to the same job I had a couple of years ago, starting either this coming Monday or the first Monday in March. As before, I’ll either be traveling or telecommuting.

The curious thing is that I originally started writing (4 years ago) while I had this job before, to relieve boredom of nights spent in hotels and on long flights, and wrote more words then than I have since I was laid off from that job. I know that beginning to sell my work as ebooks and then spending time promoting them cut into my productivity even before then, but my word counts did not go up after the layoff, despite supposedly having more free time. Spending a lot of it with my grandkids has been great, but hasn’t helped me write more and social media and promotion has also occupied a lot of time. I’ll see whether returning to long plane flights and nights in hotels restores some of that productivity. I intend to focus more on that than maintaining my promotional activities.

In any case, if you notice less of a presence from me on social media during daylight hours, that will be why.

Double Milestone!

This blog broke through the 30,000 Hits milestone today. It also reached 100 followers at the end of last month, but I only recently noticed it and waited to combine announcements.

January 2020 Blog Report

A significant drop in blog traffic for January, which I suppose could be blamed on not making many posts during the month and not having a new book released during the month, either. My writing in January was for an upcoming sci-fi erotica anthology that won’t go on sale until next month.

I’m also preparing to begin a new job that will cut into my writing time. So, we’ll see what my output is once I start it.
