Affiliate Info

As noted on my home page, I am an affiliate for the following companies. I receive compensation when you purchase their products after clicking a link which identifies me as the source. Consider these like referral bonuses — I am not just pushing these companies and their products just for the money, but looking to monetize recommendations I would be making anyway. This does not increase your cost as a customer.

Bluehost: This is the company which hosts this website, so obviously I recommend it. For each customer who signs up through a link I provide, I receive $65. This is the generic link to do so. The ad on my home page works, just as well.

This is the company which hosts this website. I would receive $65 for each customer who signs up for hosting through them. That’s their one main product. A general link to them which is tied to my affiliate status is: bluehost.sjv.io/Ke6eyN

Smashwords: Next to purchasing my ebooks from my store, this is my preferred ebook retailer. Their affiliate program pays the affiliate for any purchase made after following an affiliate link, usually 11% of the cover price. Because this is paid by the author of the book and not by Smashwords (participation is optional, as is the percentage), an author doesn’t receive an affiliate payment for their own books, because that would just net out to 0%. So it’s essentially only on books by other authors. This link to my profile should suffice to start any transaction you want to make.

Amazon: Obviously the gorilla in the room, Amazon’s affiliate program encompasses almost EVERY product in their store, with varying payouts to affiliates who drive traffic to it. (There’s a different affiliate program in each country-specific market, so this mainly governs the US for me, although I’m also enrolled in the UK program) So, you could follow one of my book links to Amazon and instead buy 10 Blu-Ray movies and I would get a small percentage of that sale. Unlike Smashwords, I do receive an affiliate payment for purchases of my books, which gives a small boost to the royalties. My author page there is a good starting point, as is my own “shop” on Amazon.

Google Play: Yes, Google Play has an affiliate program, too, but I’ve never had a completed affiliate transaction through them and most months don’t even get a click. There’s also no single link to post for it, instead it’s a conversion of each book’s individual link which you can find on each book’s page (if it’s for sale there).
