July/August 2022 Blog Status

Spinning Globe

Yes, I forgot to do this in July, so I’ll report on both months in this post:

July: An increase in hits compared to June, to the best level since January 2021. This likely correlates to the sales at both Smashwords and on this site’s ebook store as well.

August: Slumped back, to the lowest level since February and below August 2021 levels. But I did have some significant sales through the ebook store in August (more than from Smashwords and Amazon combined), which is more important. We’ll see how September does.

May 2022 Blog Status

MRLogi

Okay, between restoring the site to the leenyspress.com domain and launching my own ebook store, May saw a big jump in blog hits compared to April (combining stats from both versions of the site). It was better than any month since August 2020, in fact. Plus a new daily high as well.

Each product added to the store counts as its own page, though, which means a visitor can hit more pages per visit, so that might also account for much of it. We’ll see what June’s numbers are like.

Hopefully, the store sells a book (or more) by then…

Happy Writer-versary to Me!

Spinning Globe

March 2016. I was on a work assignment where I traveled to the customer’s city, stayed for 11 nights (including the weekend) and then home for 10 nights, every three weeks. It was cold and not really a time for sightseeing, so I filled the weekends with TV and… reading erotica at Literotica.

I then decided to try my hand at writing some.

My first story on the site (“A Dream For Papa”) went live on March 13th. And I’ve celebrated that as my anniversary as an erotica writer, ever since. This marks my 6th “writer-versary”.

Want to support me to continue my writing for a 7th year?

December 2021 Blog Status

It’s weird. December 2021’s blog hits were the lowest since June and the second lowest of the whole year, Yet, December was my best sales month ever, since I started self-publishing five years ago (Happy Anniversary to me!). Not sure how it is that the increase in sales didn’t come from an increase in blog activity first, but I’ll gladly take it.

As I expected, my 2021 total came out lower than Bluehost’s stats for 2020, despite that not representing a full year. Let’s hope 2022 reverses that trend.
